Data cleansing – it’s kind of like the Marie Kondo tidying up of bits and bytes. By getting your data cupboards neat and tidy, and by storing only the useful details that give you profitable joy, you will in a swift click have all the information at hand that benefits your business.

Quality beats fancy algorithms, it has been said, and with this in mind, Superior Choices assisted global engineering business, DRA, with consolidating, cleaning and updating their top client data between 2013 and 2014. At the same time, we built an internal database system to house all this valuable and orderly information.

First we sent an e-mail to DRA’s relationship managers. It contained a secure link to their clients’ information and a request to validate details.

Following this, our contact centre called all clients whose details were not validated, and sent them an e-mail with a secure link to their details on the DRA database system, requesting them to update their information. An additional step was taken when DRA hosted its top clients at the annual African Mining Indaba where we assisted with an end-to-end RSVP process, ensuring further clean client data.
